Welcome to Evangel Youth

OUR YOUTH MINISTRY IS VITAL

Youth grades 6-12 are welcomed into a community of friends and encouraged to become who they are meant to be by a dedicated team of adult leaders. Questions are honored and deep thought is encouraged as we seek to make space for each youth to discover life with Jesus and follow the leadings of the Holy Spirit. Together we embrace service as we learn to follow Jesus and love our neighbors.

Sunday School

Junior and Senior High Sunday School is offered on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM September through May. We cover many topics in the Bible and in life and welcome open discussion.

Confirmation

At Evangel, Confirmation is a two-year class offering a basic and fundamental understanding of the Christian faith. While the objective is to help these young people prepare to confirm for themselves the vows to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, the class offers many fun and active ways to experience and learn about the Christian faith.

Geared for students entering grades 7 - 9.

Crossfire Youth Group

Crossfire is the vibrant youth community at Evangel Church, dedicated to helping students navigate their faith journey alongside supportive peers and mentors. Our group stays active with Youth Late Nights on select Fridays and engaging small group sessions that foster deep connection and spiritual growth. We are committed to living out "The Jesus Way" through service, whether we are hosting local retreats like "Disciple Now," organizing community charity drives—such as our recent diaper collection for the Good News Children’s Center—or heading out on life-changing summer mission trips to places like Virginia. At Crossfire, we strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus, growing in bold faith while making a tangible impact on the world around us.

More information

  • Youth and youth leaders meet at church two Fridays out of each month, once for two hours, and once for a longer "late night" event. We eat snacks, catch up on life, worship and read Scripture together, and engage with a local mission or nonprofit.

  • Registration is not required to visit, but we do have all of our students register. If you would like to be part of our activities, we want to make sure we can do things like provide for any food allergies, know which adult/s in your life to contact in case of emergency, and wish you a happy birthday!

  • If you want to know more about youth, contact Stephanie Mettler. Our schedule is provided through internal communications (weekly youth families email and group text thread) because we want you to stay in the loop and also look out for our youth.
